Attempted to add session variables to my page but I have run into a little trouble. I have a drop down list where the user can select a service from the list. The shape data is set to: SetVar = service:name1:name2:name3 for example.

I then have a element which takes that service variable. The element shape data is set to: Element = [PageVar:service] This will update the shape data with the selected service. I see this change by monitoring the service name. All happy, but I have trouble with the following.

On this element shape I also have properties grouped together with this shape. These include custom properties defined on each service in the drop down list. Shape data is for example: Property = Encoder Service name. “Encoder Service name” is what is defined on each service with a custom value.

This works but when I switch between the services in the list, the properties do not always update, but I can see the service name updating on every change, but not for the properties. After about 6 attempts of working, it then stops working, but then can also start working again..

Would really like to get this working if anyone can help?
