Does anyone know how to set up MFA for DataMiner system users on a DataMiner system that isn't cloud-connected?

Hi Curtis,

Good question! And an important one these days! Keeping accounts safe is top priority...

In order to have MFA on your users in DataMiner, you should integrate your DMS with an identity provider which supports MFA, like Azure AD / Entra ID or Okta. This way you no longer use local accounts for your DMS, but you point to existing accounts in Azure or Okta or another SAML compatible identity provider. This way a user only has one account to maintain, and this modern way of authentication has all the nice goodies we need these days like MFA but also other identity protection features.

More information can be found here: Configuring SAML settings | DataMiner Docs

Let us know if you need more information or if you need any help in setting this up because it's sometimes a bit confusing if you need to do this for the first time and if you are not 100% familiar with SAML.
