Relationship between IDX and Interface Description

Hi

I use Arista drivers ver,2.0.7.6.
Changing the interface description changes "IfTable IDX" in Dataminer, which is inconvenient.

Is there a version that is not affected by Interface Description?

Postscript.
The index key exists, but it seems to be IDX that is referenced in Visio.
Every time you replace a device, description changes
When the Description changes, IDX changes.
It's inconvenient because when IDX changes, Visio has to be modified as well.

Hi Yuki,

We normally use a numeric index for every row in a table, you can identify it because it is marked with a yellow icon.

Then we have what we call Display Key (little gray icon) which is the value you see in the alarms or trending records as the name of the interface.

If you make a change that affects the display key, like changing the interface description, as the main index is not changing, the indexing of the row data, alarms and trending won't be affected.

Note that the index column could be hidden so you can make right-click over the name on any column to display the menu and select which columns would be visible.
