Redundancy Groups and Alarming – Duplicate Alarms

Solved154 views13th May 2025alarming redundancy group

Hello All,

After configuring a redundancy group where the main and backup elements have an assigned alarm template, we are finding that alarms generated on either the main or backup are also generating identical alarms on the new grouped redundant element – leading to 2 alarms with identical details in the alarm console.

Is it possible to mask the child elements so that the grouped element is the only one with an active alarm severity (or vise versa)?

Thank you in advance!

Hi Thomas,

I don’t believe this is currently possible. Any action to mask an element or apply an alarm template will also be applied to the linked virtual primary element and the other way around.
