Raising an alert when the value for a parameter is “Not Initialized”

Please, Dojo,
What are the possible ways to get an alarm or a notification when the value for a parameter is “Not Initialized”?

I used to set an alarm where “Not Available” is one of the discrete value defined for a parameter in an alarm template – but let’s say retrieving this value is of critical importance and the value cannot be retrieved (despite the good communication of all the other parameters in the StreamViewer between the DMA and the device) – could I use the “Not Initialized” to generate an alarm?

Is there a way to get the parameter “alarmable on not initialized”?

Thanks

Hi Alberto,

That is unfortunately not possible.

Please check https://community.dataminer.services/question/is-it-possible-to-alarm-not-initialized-values/ where the same question was asked.

Thanks for the reference, Lauren , appreciated: it makes sense – I’d expect users to check a timeout – if the element is not communicating, that should be the main troubleshooting trigger from my pov, but always good to get confirmation from the community. Marking this as solved
