Dear community,
When developing low-code applications, it's often intended that this application can only be accessed by a limited amount of end users. Within the DataMiner platform we often refer to this as applying an amount of security or privileged access.
Would it already be possible with any of the recently released DataMiner SW versions to apply this and if so, from which DataMiner SW version onwards would this be supported?
Hi Jeroen,
User accessibility is indeed configurable for Low-Code Apps. To do this, you can go to the settings of your app:
There you'll find the possibility to configure:
- View access
Here you can select all people who can access your app. By default your app is available to anyone. - Edit access
Here you can select all people who can make changes to your app. By default everyone can make changes.
User access on apps is available from 10.2.4 onwards.
Note: User access on apps only restricts access to the app itself. Limiting access to data is done through users & groups in the system center.
You can find the documentation on configuring security for a low-code app here: https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Advanced_Modules/Application_framework/Low-Code_Apps_configuration/LowCodeApps_security_config.html
Hi Jeroen,
You can configure this in the settings window of an application
In the future it will be possible to share an application just like you can do today with a Dashboard
