After performing a new DataMiner installation (10.1.12.0-11212-CU2), I was greeted by the following error message in the alarmconsole:
"Parsing the settings for Dataminer Health failed. No valid protocol was found for the element. (hr = 0x80040218)"
Can someone with more knowledge on this issue provide some instructions on how to resolve this one?

In this case, "Dataminer Health" represents the name of an element on this DataMiner agent.
I'm not aware of automatically installed elements on DataMiner installation, so I suspect that the element was created afterwards or is a remnant of a previous DMA installation that wasn't fully cleaned.
My suggestion would be to check the c:\Skyline DataMiner\Elements\Dataminer Health folder.

Hi Wouter, Thx and 100% correct! Upon my surprise there was indeed a “duplicate” element configured using this elementname and was lurking on the system in a stopped state.
I mistakenly thought this was a new “hidden” element which was part of a new featureset in DataMiner ready for publishing health information….. My bad.
