Hello,

I have installed a self-managed DataMiner instance on my laptop and created an element with an assigned protocol. However, the element is currently showing an error state.

notice on alarm console showing "No connection with the MySQL database at localhost."

kindly advise how to resolve this?

Hi Muhammad,
Please could you let us know what DataMiner installer are you using?
MySQL storage is considered legacy (see https://docs.dataminer.services/dataminer/Administrator_guide/Databases/Supported_System_Data_Storage_Architectures.html)

Hi Miguel,

I have reinstalled DataMiner version 10.4 and configured it as self-managed (External Drive). The system is currently running on CassandraDB, and the installation was completed successfully.

However, upon launching Cube, a pop-up message appears stating: “Retrieving the service definitions failed.”

Could you please advise what this error means and how it can be resolved?

Thank you for your support.

Hi Muhamad,

The error suggests a database misconfiguration. Although you mentioned the installation completed successfully, something else must have gone wrong. Unfortunately it is very hard for us to troubleshoot this issue through this forum. The best option is to contact our support team at techsupport@skyline.be.
