Has anyone experienced this error when using the newer Cube client?
This is the client made available in the APPs section of the collaboration portal.
Is there any action or special file is needed before using the newer client (the one with the “d” icon)?
Am I correct that this new version of Cube acts somehow as a “wrapper” for several Cube versions that can coexist within the same client PC?
I haven’t seen this error when pointing the older Cube client to the same DMA (the one with Skyline’s logo downloaded directly from the /tools page of the internal DMAs).
Hi Alberto,
Your assumption about the installation link on the collaboration portal is correct, this is the new Cube Start Window that automatically downloads/executes the correct version of Cube depending on which DMS you are connecting to.
My first guess is that the error you are encountering is not directly related to the use of the Cube Start Window, unless mismatching Cube/server versions are at play. The stacktrace indicates an issue with the URL for an embedded device webpage in a protocol driver. The expected syntax for the XML tag is <Display pageOrder="Page1;Page2;Title#http://...">. It is also possible to use placeholders for the URL, for example [id:17] to fill in the value of parameter 17. Depending on that value, the URL may not be valid. If that is the case, Cube should handle this more gracefully, so I will create a task to follow up on this.
