NBN – DB setting can not be saved.

NBN is trying to config “Maximum Alarms” in SI, however, no matter which value is given, when we click the same button, the value reset to zero and the config is not written into DB.xml file.

Is this a known issue? Should we manually modify the DB.xml file and then restart the DMA as a work around?

Hi Andrew,
The best way to go about would be to check internally on a test DMA with MSSQL. If you are able to achieve this on the test DMA, you can go to production.

But normally it is not advisable to edit the db.xml file directly. Hope this helps.

Also, when you put a number in db.xml, please don’t use a number higher than the defaults. Please be wary of that too.

Thanks Arun, if this is not the best way to do so, what’s your recommendation to solve the issue?

Andrew, in this case we can edit the db.xml directly and restart the DMA. Just ensure you try it out on a test DMA first before going to production.
