Must SLSpectrum service be started in Windows Server?

Hello team,

I'd like to know the mission of Service "SLSpectrum" installed/running in the Windows Servers computers hosting DataMiner.

I have a few DMSs with an alarm template that trigger an alarm if this service in "running". And, in those DMSs, this service is Stopped (so, no alarm)

However, I recently installed 2 new DMSs in my ecosystem and these service is "Running" in both, so, I have a alarm (I am reusing the alarm template in these "Microsoft Platform" Elements).

I checked and the service is configure as "Startup: Manual", so, I am guessing that someone or something started them.

Are these harmless? do I need them "running"? Should I disable this monitoring line from the alarm template?

Please, advise

Hello,

This is a critical process of DataMiner and should be left running. This process is always started and handles logic for spectrum analyzer connectors:

DataMiner starts this upon software start.

You should need them running and I advise to adjust your alarm template.
