Hi Dojo,

Our users are currently using an old version of Microsoft Visio and are looking for the most appropriate option to update.

They are potentially looking to upgrade to the latest Visio under a Microsoft 365 subscription “Visio Plan 2”: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/visio/microsoft-visio-plans-and-pricing-compare-visio-options

One of the aspects of Visio Plan 2 is that it licenses the user to use Visio on virtual machines and shared servers accessible by RDP.

Could the other options be viable as well “Visio Plan 1” and “Visio Standard 2019”?

Could you possibly let us know what is the most appropriate Microsoft Visio license currently on offer in the market, to use alongside with Dataminer for users who will be using, creating or adapting Microsoft Visio drawings?

Thank you.

I would indeed recommond to take the Visio Plan 2 if you want to work with Visio and DataMiner. Visio is one or our main sources of having a beautiful and nice graphical representation of your system. The desktop app is only accessible in Visio Plan 2 which feels (to me) more comfortable when making complex visio files.

However as long as you can create the visio file, it will of course work in our environment.
