I tried to create a dashboard with a trend graph of an element. But as the element is hidden on the cube, I cannot have the info on the dashboard...even if on the cube I can found the information for hidden element easily, it seems that it is not possible on dashboard/low code app. Is there any way to display them?
Hi Sevil,
The Dashboards and Low-Code Apps aren't really aware of hidden elements. Those hidden elements are usually there for internal use and aren't meant to be directly accessed by users.
You can find more details about this in our docs. Hope that clears things up!
Hi Sebastiaan,
Thank you for your reply. The problem is that on our side, the elements are hidden because they are attached to services , and we don't want to see them in the surveyor somewhere else than under the service. So is there a way to retrieve the informations of those elements through the service they are attached? in my case, I want to show the trending graph of an element in a dashboard, as I can see it in the cube.
Hi Sevil, so what you’re interested in is something that is actually covered by DataMiner security. If a user doesn’t have rights on a certain element, they can have implicit rights on that element whenever they have access to a service using that element. So instead of using the ‘Hidden’ feature for this, you can remove the explicit access to these elements instead as they will get implicit access through the service.
