What is the suggested Linux OS version for Cassandra and Elastic nodes?

Hi Naveen,

There are various Linux distributions that can be used for Cassandra and Elastic.
A list of supported distros can be found here:

Cassandra

https://docs.datastax.com/en/home/docs/supportedPlatforms.html

Elastic

https://www.elastic.co/support/matrix

In our documentation, the steps and examples provided are based on Ubuntu LTS.
So if you don't have any specific preferences, this might be the easiest choice.

I assume the question is in the context of DataMiner. In that case, I think for the Elastic nodes, it’s important to mention to users not to use Ubuntu 22.04 and go for 20.04 the latest, as this is compatible with Elastic 6.8.x .
