Linux process monitoring for redudant services

I have 2 Linux servers that have monitoring via the process validation table for redudant processes that run on one of these servers at a time. As long as the processes are running on either host I don't want an alarm, if they are only running on one host I don't want an alarm. I only want an alarm when both hosts do not have the processes running. How can this be best achieved?

Hi Oscar,

In addition to Dave's suggestion, another option is using correlation rules. For example, you can generate a correlated alarm when the count of alarms for the same parameter is higher than 2.

Hope it helps.
