Hi

I'm preparing a project with Dataminer now.

And The customer wants to add their external app launch menu on Dataminer UI or visio graphic view.

The external SW app is based on the C# and can launch on the same Dataminer OS.

Can someone help me with this question?

Thanks

Max

You can link a shape to a program or file. This should allow you to open the SW app.

The following example will open a certain file in notepad:
C:\Windows\Notepad.exe|C:\MyTxtFiles\OneOfMyTxtFiles.txt|Click to open in Notepad

See the help for more info.

Hi
Thanks for your answer.
I tried to use it on my visio drawing but there is no “link” menu on “Define Shape Data_type menu.
I’m using Visio 2013 now. The issue is from the old version of visio?

Sebastiaan Dumoulein [SLC] [DevOps Enabler] commented 3rd August 2021

The “Link” shape data needs to be added similarly to any other shape data (“Define Shape Data” with label “Link” and the path to your SW app as the value).

Note that there is a great course of our usage of Visio within DataMiner: https://community.dataminer.services/lessons/basic-shape-linking/
