Hi,

Was are the latest supported versions of Latest support versions of Cassandra, OpenSearch and Reaper?  We are on 10.6 CU5.

Hi Berman,

Cassandra 5.0 is recommended : see DataMiner Compute Requirements | DataMiner Docs. (but all supported Cassandra versions are supported by us)

OpenSearch 3.X : see Installing an OpenSearch database | DataMiner Docs.

Reaper : There is no version mentioned, but you can get the official reaper installation instructions from Install and Run :: Reaper: Easy Repair Management for Apache Cassandra. Reaper should be deployed on all cassandra nodes in sidecar pattern, see Installing Cassandra Reaper | DataMiner Docs.

These are the versions we plan to upgrade to from the versions on the right:

cassandra 4.1.12 all [upgradable from: 4.1.8]

reaper 5.0.1 all [upgradable from: 3.8.0]

opensearch/stable 2.19.6 amd64 [upgradable from: 2.19.0]

Just be aware that Cassandra 4.1.x requires JDK 11 and Reaper 5.x.x requires JDK 17. I would recommend pairing Cassandra 4.1.x with Reaper 4.2.x or Cassandra 5.x with Reaper 5.x.x to avoid issues with JDK compatibility.
