A KMZ file consists of a KML file and other support files (more information in this external link). You could uncompress the file using a ZIP tool. If you plan to integrate KMZ files with DataMiner Maps, you could for example create an automation script that uncompress the KMZ file, extract the KML file and place it where the DMA can process it.
