We can switch to using the desktop application when IE goes EOL, but does skyline have any alternative plans for offering a browser solution (I don't think it currently works with MS Edge but correct me if I'm wrong).

Hi Russ,
You can still load DataMiner Cube from Edge by enabling the "Internet Explorer Compatibility Mode". You can find this under Settings > Default Browser in Edge. (see image below) I had to add the URLs to my DataMiner system under "Internet Explorer Mode Pages", after that it works fine to load Cube. I'm not sure how long Edge will support this. 
Do note that we recommend using the DataMiner Cube Start Window instead of the XBAP version.
