Is it Possible to Visualize a Non-Analog Parameter as a Gauge in Visio?

36 views16 hours agoanalog Gauge meter Visio Visual Overview

Hello All,

When a parameter in a connector is defined as analog, it is displayed as a gauge/meter on the element's data page - where you have a visual indication of where the current value is in relation to the configured alarm template.

Whereas a parameter defined as a number is displayed without the extra detail.

When integrating the analog parameter into Visio, it is easy to carry across the same meter visualization along with the alarm template integration.

Can the same meter visual be accomplished in Visio for a number parameter like the Physical Memory Usage example above (without modifying the connector itself)?

Thank you in advance!

Because we like to keep the look and feel of Visual Overview Data Display components consistent with that of your Data Display itself, we always visualize the parameter control exactly as it is visualized there. So indeed, as you suggested, you will need to change the connector should you want to visualize it that way for other parameters as well.

There are several alternatives of course to achieve what you need or something similar, such as a custom control you create in Visio or an embedded dashboard gauge component (or similar).
