Hello Dojo,
While reading the documentation found at:
We are wondering if it is possible to use a later version of Cube that can be installed for multiple users with an earlier version of the DMA software?
We want to use some features in the cube version found in 10.1.9 but the customer is currently stuck on version 10.1.0. Main goal is to have an installer that installs for all users at once on a client machine since users log in with their own creds instead of having every since user have to install it manually.
Thank you in advance for any info!
I'm not sure from what version onwards, but Cube is now decoupled from the node side, and can be evolved independently. One can then opt to download automatically the latest version from the DataMiner Cloud Platform (and choose between the latest release version or a preview - an option in the settings of the Cube launcher). Also the admin can control whether that is allowed or not (System Center > System Settings > Manage Client versions), and/or force a specific Cube version system-wide. Also on the node side, a lot of new features are launched as part of the DxM extensions (which can be run-time updated from the cloud, without a classic full update cycle), this is managed from the cloud Admin center. But I'll have to check from which version this is supported.

10.2 MR CU3, from that version onward you can start using the latest 10.2.6+ Cube without having to upgrade the server.
As for the installation, I would suggest using ‘/Install /Silent’ option to silently install it on multiple computers.
