How to show elements snmp connection info (or https connection info ) in visio view ?

Hello,

Dataminer is not my core business so sorry if my question is a very basic one.

I know how  to link a shape to an element’s parameter in a visio view.

But How can I link a visio shape to the general  info you see in screenshot ?

Name,Description, Protocol can be linked with Parameter or info field I found but how can I show SNMP version and IPaddress/host in a view.

Some elements also have a https connection so same questioon but maybe similar to the SNMP info ; how can I show this in a view ?

I want to show an overview of all elements in a view because some elements make connection via DNS, others via fix IP address ….

More in general: is there somewhere a list of all possible info that can be retreived from an element (besides the elements specific parameters that can be seen in the protocols exported file ?)

I tried to search in the help menu but I haven’t found what I was looking for.

So if someone finds the time to give me a hint, that would be highly appreciated.

Thx already.

Best regards

Dirk

Hi Dirk,

You could use the shape data ‘Info’ (Making a shape display information about the item it is linked to)

Hope it helps.

I know about the INFO field and I already tested this but maybe I don’t know the correct syntax to retreive the snmp or http connection parameters . That’s why I asked if there is a sort of list with the syntax for all general info about an element…

Hi Dirk,
On the following page, you can find a list of all the information about an element that can be displayed in a Visio drawing using keywords (under "To display information about the element to which the shape is linked"): https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Basic_Functionality/Visio/making_shapes_display_info/Making_a_shape_display_information_about_the_item_it_is_linked_to.html#configuring-the-shape-data-field
