Can someone explain how to add an image to the annotation box.
Just pasting does not seem to work. Tried saving image as HTML and then inserting but still no good.
I think it's only possible to use an image that is accessible via http(s), by clicking "insert image" in the header bar:
Edit: It should also work to paste an image into the editor, but since version 10.1.0[CU5] this doesn't save properly anymore, we will fix this.
Simply pasting an image still seems to work for me. However, the format of the image on the clipboard is important. I notice that applications like Outlook and Teams fill the clipboard with many formats and the text-based formats (RTF, HTML) will take priority over the image format when pasting. In contrast, copying an image using the Windows snipping tool (Win-Shift-S) works fine.
Tom, indeed you’re right, it used to work. We added some more security (sanitizing) that filters out any scripting, but it looks like it is filtering out too much, causing the pasted picture not to save properly. I created a task (ID 186432).
Thank you for the response, Bert. I tried the snipping tool and got excited when I was able to paste and save the annotation with the pic. However, when I reopened the annotation the pic was no longer there.
Thank you, Wim, much appreciated.
Thank you, Wim, but that seems to be more complicated than just inserting an image from your pc as one can do in 9.5. Is there benefit of having to use an online picture database vs the seemingly simpler method of inserting from your pc?
