Hi All,
I am setting up a system where we have two remote DMA's (directly connected to the end devices) and a central DMA which is connected to the remote DMA's. We are using Data Replication model wherein the central DMA will have the remote devices replicated from both the remote DMA's.
Now is there a way that the synchronization of data (Alaram & Trend Templates, Element settings etc.) happens between Central and Remote DMA which means if any change is performed on Central DMA that should be replicated to the remote DMA and vice-versa?
Also if we can't have a full set of data synchronization rather just few actions those details are also welcome?
Hi Amit,
When creating a replicated element, only parameter updates are transferred from the source element to the replicated one. Alarm/trend data is not replicated.
In order to cover your use case, you will need to make sure that whenever there is an update in the alarm/trend template in the HUB DMA, this update will need to be replicated in the DMPs. As far as I am aware, currently it is not possible to transfer alarm/trend templates from the HUB DMA to DMPs. However, as a workaround, you can create a protocol package that includes these updated templates. Whenever there is an update on the system you will need to make sure that HUB and DMPs are updated using the same protocol package.
