I'm forwarding my alarms using the SNMP forwarding functionality. I don't want to forward the alarms from the masked elements. When there is a new alarm comes from the masked element - I can clearly identify it by checking the alarm status: it will be "Masked". But when the parameter value is "back to normal", the alarm will have the severity "Normal" and the alarm status will be "Cleared".
I was trying to create an alarm filter but there is no such option to make sure that element is not masked.
Is there a way to check this?
Hi Alexander,
I am not sure which version of the software you are using but in 10.1.4 we have added an additional field to the alarm called "Extra status". This field will stay on "Masked" when the element is masked and the parameter returns back to its normal state. By using this field in your alarmfilter you can achieve what you want.
