Hi all,
I've connected one testing vDCM to Dataminer, but it is still in timeout. The connection is throught UDP and there is a firewall in the middle, but I've requested the permissions to ports 443, 8443 and 9123, also Ping (which one was tested correctly). Do you know what it could be missing? I've just investigating but I burnt all the cards.
Thank you!
Regards!
Hi @Felix
Just FYI, if you reply choosing the "Start a new answer" option instead of "Add a comment", then the requester can select you answer as "Best" and you can score some sweet sweet Dojo points. 😉
Okay 🙂
Hi Alejandra,
if you are using the Cisco DCM driver for the vDCM, it could be also Port 5003 (IIOP). https://docs.dataminer.services/connector/doc/CISCO_DCM.html
If you are using the Synamedia vDCM driver, could you share what responses are shown in the Dataminer Stream Viewer?
You are talking about the connection is througt UDP, but the Ports you have posted are normally TCP.
And just to be sure: Did you store the credentials to access the device via API somewhere in the element?
Hi Felix,
This was solved thanks to your answer. I did not realize of the tool Stream Viewer in DM. With this, we noticed that the permissions were wrong (there were from vDCM to DM and not the other way around), so now I can manage the system. Thank you a lot!
