High Volume of Suggestion Events Triggering Alarm Storms

Hi Dojo,

We are trending tables with a significant volume of rows (>2k) on many element types.

Behavioral Anomaly Detection is currently enabled & after upgrading to 10.3.0-CU9, we are facing a high volume of suggestion events for the same parameter name for multiple elements. As a result, this is triggering alarm storm mode frequently and is quite disruptive.

Before disabling Behavioural Anomaly Detection, is there anything we can do to reduce the frequency of suggestion events on version 10.3.0-CU9? Adjusting alarm storm thresholds is not a feasible solution.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention. Some initial investigation on this system revealed a large number of suggestion events on table parameters “flatlining”. More recent versions of the software have introduced improvements to the Flatline Detection functionality. These enhancements are expected to reduce the number of events generated in situations like the one you are experiencing. Unfortunately, the 10.3.0-CU9 version does not offer the possibility to reduce the frequency of the events. We have reached out to the technical account manager to explore what can be done on this system, and further follow-up will be conducted to determine whether additional revision of the functionality is appropriate.
