Issue: Standalone Upgrade 10.3.5-12938 Issue (Failed to connect to an IPC Port)
Following the upgrade today, the error above was mentioned multiple times in the log, otherwise everything seems to be running without an issue. Curious if anyone has seen this in the community yet or if we have an isolated issue. This is a standalone DMA with local windows cassandra.

Hi Shawn,
While performing an upgrade, there is a moment in time when the old SLNet.exe process shuts down and before the new SLNet.exe process starts up. During that timespan clients can temporarily not retrieve any update progress information. As this is expected behavior, there is a grace period of 2 minutes before the client starts logging this as a notice in the upgrade progress messages (once every 30 seconds). So in your case I would expect that that stage of the upgrade took up to 4 minutes. If the upgrade proceeded without any other errors or warnings there is nothing to be concerned about.
