Global settings for storm alarms in file MaintenanceSettings.xml

Hello everyone.

I would like to be able to set storm alerts in the global DMA settings, not just for individual Cube clients.

I know it's possible at Server File - MaintenanceSettings.xml Location: C:\Skyline DataMiner\MaintenanceSettings.xml.

This file contains settings for how many alarm entries are stored/displayed in the Cube and how the system reacts when the alarm tree exceeds the limit (e.g., the AlarmsPerParameter tag and attributes such as client/recurring).

How can I practically use these sections in this file for storm alarms?

Big thanks for help.

Br.

Jarek

Hi Jaroslaw,

I am not sure if already noticed, but you could configure the alarm storm mode on group level (see Configuring a set of user group settings). Will this setting cover your use case?

Hope it helps.
