Hi Dojo,

Would like to further understand regarding the protocol: Generic Trap Receiver. Is this driver similar to Syslog? Where it can keep logs from multiple devices and users can filter the logs when needed?

Or is this driver specific to an element? we need to create multiple element in order to receive the SNMP trap ?

I am not familiar with the Syslog connector, but I know a bit about the Generic Trap Receiver.

No, you can use the same element to receive traps from multiple devices.
The parameter Trap IP Sources accept multiple IP addresses:

Thanks for the reply. Can we save these logs as file?
We are using protocol version 1.0.1.24.

Hi,
The Generic Trap Receiver don’t support that functionality (define a path for exporting the content of the Trap table). However, you can manually export the content of the table by right clicking on the table:
