Generic SNMP Trap Receiver and Lookup Tables

Solved426 views30th September 2024

I am using dataminer version 10.4.0 and using “Generic SNMP Trap Receiver” Protocol for an endpoint.

Use case is i am trying to use Lookup Table to give OID and alias as per this document

https://docs.dataminer.services/connector/doc/Generic_Trap_Receiver.html

I am not seeing this working. Anyone else has experience using lookup table for Generic Trap Receivers

Hi Vishal,  I just tested this out on my local system.  The first trap received was without the Lookup Table being populated.  I then added a row for my trap OID, added a Display Value of ‘TestLookup’ and verified the ‘Lookup Table State’ was Enabled.  The next trap generated then changed the TRAP OID value to the lookup table value.  Let us know if you were looking for something else.

I am doing the exact same thing and not seeing this.

What version of the dataminer are you using ? And version of generic SNMP trap receiver.

Steve Purcell [SLC] [DevOps Advocate] commented 12th July 2024

Hi Vishal, I was using Dataminer 10.4.2 and Generic Trap Receiver 1.0.1.25.
