Generating shapes that represent alarm history

Hello

I have the alarms displayed in a shape, but it looks like it is an active alarm.
For example, when I turn the power on from off, the alarm goes away.

I want to know how to show it in the alarm history because I want to keep all the information.

I would like to know how to generate shape representing the history of alarms.

There is currently no way to display history alarms in Visual Overview in a straight forward way. This because Visual Overview is more seen as a live dashboard rather than a reporting tool.

Depending on your use case, there are several things you can do:

  • Create a correlation rule for your use case that triggers an alarm when another alarm clears, set a new alarm from there and use the alarm summary shape to show its info.
  • Create an automation script that does a similar thing.
  • Create a feature suggestion on our feature suggestions page where you specify your use case and what you want to achieve.

I understood.
Workarounds also seem to be difficult to achieve in a short period of time.

Hi Yuki,

DataMiner has the possibility to visualize the latch state of an element, service, or view.

The latch state is the highest history alarm state that’s remembered until it’s manually reset.

More info on how to show the latch state in vision can be found here.
