Feature Release Web Upgrades in Main Release

Hi,

We have a DataMiner environment running on DM 10.3 Main Release CU5. As stated in DataMiner release overview 2023-2024 – DataMiner Dojo, since 10.3 we can benefit from having the latest new features (e.g. 10.3.8 Feature Release) in the Web Apps (e.g. Dashboards). Two questions:

  • Are there still any dependencies or will everything work without requiring any extra DM upgrade?
  • Can we easily switch back to have the Web Apps again of the 10.3 Main Release?

Thank you!
Jarno

That’s correct! Beginning with version 10.3, you can keep using the DMA while updating your web apps to the latest version. Just make sure your version is higher than 10.3, and you’re good to go – no extra requirements needed.

But do remember, the web apps rely a lot on GQI, which is still a core part. This means some GQI features won’t be available.

Also, you can go back to an older version, but you’ll need to manually put back the saved dashboards and apps. This is because newer web apps move the dashboards and apps to a newer version on their own.
