You could export a service template by selecting action 'Export' and choosing the option 'Export to DataMiner Package (*.dmimport).

By default all the services provisioned by the service template (and their corresponding child elements) will be included in the DataMiner package. Since you are working in a staging environment, I believe it is not required to include the elements and services involved in the service template. Prior to execute the export, you could remove all the provisioned services so only the service templated will be exported.
