Encrypted backups in DataMiner

Following a security audit carried out within a company, there was a question raised about the possibility to encrypt the backups created by DataMiner. Is this already possible from DataMiner or even outside of DataMiner (after the generation of the backup files)?

Hi João,

Unfortunately, DataMiner does not support encrypting backups. However, it should be possible to encrypt the resulting .dmbackup files manually by creating some custom scripts. (For example, using PowerShell or Python to encrypt the file before storing it on a remote location).
