Element credentials behavior when the driver version is changed

Are the credentials stored for an element persist when the driver is changed from a version to another?

We haven't seen this in general for many protocols, but the user has reported that this is observed in one of the driver version changes performed on the production. So looking for the protocol design standard Skyline follows.

Hi Srikanth,
Please could you confirm if you are referring to credentials stored in parameters (e.g. for HTTP protocols), or are you are referring to credentials stored in the element settings (e.g. SNMP community strings)?

Hi Srikanth,

Credentials are securely stored either as element settings or as element data, depending on the implementation. This is independent of the connector/driver version used for the element.
