Hello,
Can you please tell me what are the current use cases for Elastic Search in Dataminer platform? (do you have link for documentation on this?)
Thank you.
Best regards
Bruno Sousa
Hi Ben,
How are you?
Yes, for this particular case I’m asking what data Dataminer stores and what are the functionalities of the platform that benefit from having Elastic Search component “active”.
Thank you.
Best regards
Bruno Sousa
Hi Bruno,
Having Elasticsearch provides you with advanced functionality - see below :
Applying alarm filters in the Alarm Console | DataMiner Docs (Search for [selected text] in new tab)
Applying alarm filters in the Alarm Console | DataMiner Docs (Creating a search tab in the Alarm Console)
Moreover, it also stores certain data which is used in the new Jobs and Dashboards apps. Furthermore, it stores all alarm data - active and history alarms.
Additionally, if you want to use SRM, you mandatorily need elasticsearch as it holds data needed by SRM : https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Standard_Apps/SRM/srm_getting_started/deploying_srm.html
Here is also the expert hub page : https://community.dataminer.services/expert-hub-elastic/
Hi Bruno – can you clarify what you mean exactly? Are you asking about what data DataMiner stores in the underlying ElasticSearch?
