Dual IP and failover for Dataminer elements

Hi Techsupport

Is it possible to configure two different Management IPs for each element in Dataminer, and can Dataminer Polling failover to second IP when first IP of an element gets unreachable ?

Please provide steps to configure SNMP for this Dual IP.

Hi Laurens,

As I followed the documentation I have add the command in protocol XML file,but in dataminer cube failover option not showing can you guide where we can add failover IP.

Hi, as there was no comment added to my answer, I was not notified that new info was added to this separate answer, hence why I only saw this now. To come back to this issue: adding communicationOptions="redundantPolling" advanced="snmpv2:Secondary" to the Type tag in the Protocol.xml should show an extra connection "Secondary" where extra SNMP IP address etc can be set when creating an element.
