Just wanting to know if trending has a cost, I am looking at creating some trending templates for Btechs Appear TVs so we can keep track of issues. Also would be helpful if anyone has any tips on trending.

Yes trending comes with a cost and you should always make sure you enable trending only for the most relevant parameters. This is not to say that your whole system will take a performance hit because you enabled trending on specific driver, just to be cautious with it and not over do it.
