DMA starts after Windows startup even though it’s disabled

Hi Dojo,

I have disabled "Automatically start DMA after startup" in Cube and all SL services are set to Manual startup, however the DMA still starts up with Windows.

This behaviour is undesired because it's my local agent and my laptop restarts and changes networks frequently, so I have to jump through some hoops to get correct IPs configured in DMS.xml and SLCloud.xml.

What other place could I look to see if automatic startup is still enabled somewhere.

I'm using Windows 11 and DataMiner 10.5.10.0-16337.

Cheers

Hi Edib,

Just posting an answer to make this clear for others too, since we discussed and resolved your issue in private.

Based on the logging you provided me I noticed SLWatchdog never restarted and hence definitely never triggered a restart of SLDataMiner. EventViewer pointed me to the use of hibernate, which you then disabled.

Later, you also figured out the fast startup option in the power menu was also causing this behavior.

As such, when encountering this issue, typically on a laptop which you use as development environment for DataMiner, disable these two.

Kind regards,

Xander
