Different alarm templates for the one element?

Hi,

I'm wondering if it is possible for an Element to have multiple different Alarm Templates depending on the View, since an element can be in different views?

Use case: we have different teams looking at DataMiner, and they maybe interested in different things. One alarm may be Critical for one team, but just Informational for the other teams. Any suggestion on how to achieve this?

Thanks,

T.H.

Hi Trong,

I am afraid that assigning different alam templates to the same element is not possible. Even if the element is displayed in multiple views, you are referring to the same element.

Maybe an option could be using DataMiner services? You can assign an element to a service and, based on conditions, modify the severity displayed in the service:

In this case, a user will look at the service instead of the element. You can find more information about how to work with services in DataMiner Help (Adding a service).

In addition, the DataMiner Administrator course contains a module for DataMiner services that explains how to work with services.

Thanks Miguel for the prompt reply. I will look into the service option.

Cheers,
T.H.
