I am hearing a lot about dataminer X. Is this different than standard dataminer we have?
DataMiner X is DataMiner version 10.
It's not a different "type", but just a new version.
A lot of new features and improvements have been introduced with DataMiner 10, and the UI got a a big update, so it may look and feel different, and I would personally say, better.
See https://community.dataminer.services/documentation/dataminer-v10-0-0-release-notes/ for a detailed overview of all changes in DataMiner 10.0.0.
DataMiner 10 has the same hardware requirements: https://help.dataminer.services/dataminer/#t=DataMinerUserGuidepart_7SystemRequirementsHardware_requirements_for_DataMiner_servers.htmXREF_28225_47_1_1_Hardware&rhsearch=requirements&rhsyns=
You can do the upgrade as any other DataMiner upgrade. As always, it’s strongly advised to first upgrade a staging environment.
Thank you Lander.
Thanks Lander, we are interested to upgrade our platform to dataminer-X. Can you please guide me to do preparation for it? Do I need to change my hardware? And what about database(s)?
