DataMiner upgrade 10.2.1.0 – Could not load file or assembly Google.Protobuf

Hi Dojo,

After upgrading a DMA to version 10.2.1.0-11246, I tried to unregister/register the services/DLLs to troubleshoot an issue related Cassandra:

CreateGatewayConnection|ERR|0|Failed to create DBGateway connection hr = 80040154(Class not registered)

Checking the output of the batch files that we use to unregister/register DataMiner services/DLLs, we notice the following error:

-- UnRegistering x64\SLCassandraClassLibrary.dll
RegAsm : error RA0000 : Could not load file or assembly 'Google.Protobuf, Version=3.13.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=a7d26565bac4d604' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
-- UnRegistering x64\SLDatabase.dll

Have you seen this issue before? Can we ignore this error?

Hi Dojo,

For your information, we were not able to reproduce this issue in the latest 10.2 feature release (at the time of writing, 10.2.12.0)
