DataMiner Protocols compatibility: on-prem, SaaS and DaaS

Hello dojo - when considering a move from on-prem to SaaS or DaaS,
are there any restrictions over drivers?

E.g. if a driver is running fine in DM10.5 on-prem, am I correct in thinking that it can be smoothly deployed in DaaS (or StaaS) too where the DM version is the same and ports are allowed?

Thanks

Hi Alberto,

You are correct, if it runs on-prem, that should indeed also run smoothly in DaaS. That is basically the same software, so there is no real difference for drivers.

There are although some minor limitations with logger tables if you run on STaaS (so also applicable for DaaS). But drivers impacted by that are very rare, you can find the limitations as at the bottom of this page: STaaS features | DataMiner Docs
