Hi Dataminer Experts, I have a question to ask and seeking your advice.
I'm planning to move Dataminer operation from existing on prem server to a VM server. As per the sizing suggestion, the system should be operating with 250GB SSD.
Knowing that the VM is running SSD and HDD, the system will dynamically manage resources allocation once the SSD is congested (where some less important task such as OS will be moved to HDD) and there is no way we can dedicate the usage of SSD to Dataminer operation alone (as the VM system is operating as such). However, SSD will be prioritized in usage especially for read-write activity.
Does Dataminer operation allows such dynamic resource management by the VM?
Hi Mohammed,
That should be no problem for DataMiner. What you are describing seems to be completely transparent to the applications running on such a VM, and I'm sure this system will make sure that the frequently accessed files are stored on SSD so that you get the best performance. This seems to be completely transparent to DataMiner, so no problem to use such a system.

Thanks for you kind reply, Bert. Truly appreciate.
