Dataminer log files forwarding to a syslog

Hello,

We want to forward the Dataminer's log files(System Center->Logging->dataminer) to our Syslog server. Is it possible to configure the system to do it?

Hi Simone,

That's not natively available in DataMiner.  It would be possible though to plug in a connector for that, which basically takes the log files (or a filtered subset in case there is a specific interest) and to push those to a Syslog.

Thanks for your answer. Could you please tell me where I can find more information about that connector? Can we download it from Skyline’s portal? Do we need a specific license to use it? Do we need to install it on each agent of our cluster?

Hi Simone,

We don’t have the collector available yet, so this would be built based on your request. If such a connector is built, it will require a license in a similar fashion to any other connector license you have.
