DataMiner architectural roadmap

Hi,

I’ve been asked to look into the architectural roadmap of DataMiner to understand future infrastructure requirements (0-3yr timeframe). We are specifically looking to understand if there is a move to containerization planned, and ideally, any changes to key databases.

Is there somewhere I can find this information?

Thanks!

Hi Carlos,

We are naturally looking into compatibility with containerization in a general sense, but there are no plans to make this a firm requirement or default option at this time.

In terms of database requirements, there are no plans to move away from the core Cassandra and Elastic usage in the time period you quote. Support for MySQL and MSSQL as legacy ‘local’ databases will be gradually phased out and newer features will in some cases not be compatible with legacy databases before the final EOL on that support. It’s also perhaps worth bookmarking the general DataMiner Roadmap – https://community.dataminer.services/roadmap/ for future reference.
