Dashboard – component value is cut off on the side

Solved353 views18th April 2025auto-size Dashboard component

I have a State component in my dahsboard and the style is set to 'Auto size' (Layout - Advanced - Style - Design).

It generally works fine and adjust the sizes very well when the window size is updated however, in situations where the value of the component changes when window size remains the same, the text displayed on the dashboard component is cut off on the side. It re-adjusts itself when the window size is changed but until then, full text is not displayed. Please see examples below.

When looking okay,

When cut off, you can't see the full text as it is cut off at the end

Is this an expected behaviour from the component or is there a setting that we can use so that the text size adjusts itself when the value changes? Thanks.

Hi, this is definitely not expected behavior and your setting is correct. 'Auto size' should make the content fit under all circumstances. I can verify it is indeed not taking textual changes into account to recalculate its new size.

Hi, a small update on this issue: the fix will be included in version 10.5.3, which we aim to release on February 21st.
