We typically release a new CU every month (usually on Fridays). For example, 10.1.0.0-CU9 was released on 19/11/2021, 10.1.0.0-CU10 will be released on 17/12/2021. A new CU is released for all supported main releases. We also typically release one new feature release every month (with the exception of July, due to holidays), for more information see main versus feature release.
I'm not sure if you can get notified when a new CU is released, this would be a great feature suggestion though!

Currently the DataMiner Cube informs about new available DataMiner software versions via the update center. This a check that needs to be triggered manually though, so as Jens mentioned a notification would be a nice feature suggestion.
