Hi Dojo,
I would like to change the password for the Administrator login on DataMiner Cube.
However, I noticed that doing so also changes the password for the DMA server itself.
Could you please advise how I can change the Cube Administrator password without affecting the DMA server credential?
Thank you.
Best Regards,
Nur Aliah
Hi,
It is not possible to change the password of the Administrator user without affecting the underlying server. This is because local users in DataMiner are basically local Windows users and this is also true for the Administrator user.
Kind regards,

Hi,
The Administrator user cannot be disabled in DataMiner. We consider it to be a break-glass account for emergency situations. We do recommend to disable the local administrator on the OS level, ensuring that it cannot be used to access DataMiner without re-enabling it first.
Hi Seppe,
Thank you for the clarification.
Can we disable Administrator user in Cube application, so that each Operator can use their dedicated credential to login, without changing Administrator login in DMA (server)?
